Argentina – Weekend of thanksgiving and celebration in Viedma for canonization of Artemide Zatti, SDB

(ANS - Viedma) - For the canonization of Artemide Zatti, the Diocese of Viedma, presided over by Salesian Bishop Esteban Laxague, and local Salesian presences, have organized a thanksgiving celebration this coming weekend under the motto "Zatti Saint. I believed, I promised, I was healed." The activities shall take place on Saturday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 30, at the "Don Bosco" parish in Viedma.

According to the event’s official program, the main activities are as follows:

Saturday, October 29

- Starting at 11:00 a.m. a welcoming ceremony kicks off the event: “Getting to know Br. Zatti.”

- A walk along "Br. Zatti’s path."

- In the afternoon, there will be a tour of the city to visit the most significant places where Zatti lived and moved. The team working on the organization will welcome the pilgrims and create opportunities for interaction among them.

- At 9:30 p.m.: animation and prayer vigil.

Sunday, Oct. 30

- Moment of prayer in front of the Salesian temple and, at 11 a.m.: the Eucharist in "Ferreira" Park.

- At the end of the Mass, a procession with the relics of St. Artemide Zatti to the "Don Bosco" parish.

- Community lunch for delegations.

- Oratory feast with songs, dances, testimonies, and performances of musical groups.

- Blessing of pilgrims.

The Mass on Sunday, October 30, will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Argentine broadcaster "Canal 10," starting from 10:30 a.m. local time (UTC-3)

The "Blessed Zeffirino Namuncurá" Province of Southern Argentina (ARS) has invited devotees of the new saint and friends and sympathizers of Salesian work from all parts of the country to participate in this celebration, with the aim of all coming together, sharing a time of spirituality and festivity, and celebrating the great gift of Artemide Zatti's holiness.
