Malta - Don Bosco 2000 and Lego Serious Play for youth formation
Malta - The Salesian youth organization "SPYS" - (Salesian Pastoral Youth Service), based in Balzan, Malta, which accompanies young people to discover authentic life values through local and international volunteer and training activities is ready to re-launch its activities for holistic youth formation in Malta or rather for the "RE-BUILD." This is what emerged from the Lego® Serious Play® workshop (Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 - the project funded by the Malta Council for the Volunteer Sector under the "Training Initiatives Scheme") led by the team of the Don Bosco 2000 Association, a Sicilian social enterprise entirely run by Salesian Cooperators. About 20 young people active in Maltese youth ministry will participate. Proceeds from the workshop will be donated to the missions in Gambia, which the Don Bosco 2000 Association carries out through circular cooperation involving migrants received on Sicilian shores who want to return home and start income-generating activities to improve the economic conditions of other youth, villages and future generations. Thanks to the synergy between Don Bosco 2000 and SPYS, they will contribute to the construction of a chicken coop. Fully satisfied with this initiative Fr. Paul Formosa, Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of Malta (MLT), and the president of the Don Bosco 2000 Association, Agostino Sella, said, "It’s beautiful to see how good begets good; let us continue to build bridges between cultures and generations."
