Kenya - Don Bosco Boys Town Celebrates Thanksgiving Day
Nairobi, Kenya - 16, July 2022 - Don Bosco Boys Town celebrated its Thanksgiving Day on 16 July. The day was for the second-year students to thank the rest of the community for all they received during the two years of their stay at Boys Town and for the others to say thank you to the second years for the contributions they made to Boys Town. Their thanksgiving speech had the following to say about the Salesians. "We would like to thank the Salesians here at the Boys Town for giving us a golden opportunity to pursue different technical courses. Although it has been a long journey, you have accompanied us in various aspects that we needed in our holistic growth; spiritual, mental, and physical development. Character formation was one of your priorities. We appreciate it. We do not have enough words to express our gratitude for all you have done, especially for making us good Christians and honest Citizens. You have helped us with little things that we take for granted. You took our parents’ place for the time we have stayed here. You are a special gift to us. God bless you all." The Vice-provincial celebrated the Thanksgiving Mass. The guest of honour for the day was the High commissioner of India, Mr. Virandar Paul. He expressed his immense gratitude and joy for the invitation for this occasion. He was much impressed by Don Bosco’s contribution to uplifting the needy youth. He promised every help to link Indian companies to Boys Town and the student exchange program.
