Aracaju, Brazil - June 2022 - After a three-year hiatus, the XXXV edition of the sports event called "Nordestão Salesiano" took place with the participation of more than 800 athletes, students from nine Salesian schools in the Northeast, who competed in 10 sports disciplines. The Salesian world offers schools and training in dozens of sports disciplines that are the basis for becoming top-level athletes. For example, soccer goalkeeper Thiago Ferreira, began his journey in the futsal team of the Salesian institute "Mary Help of Christians" in Aracaju and today is the goalkeeper of the "Confiança Fut 7" team.
