France - 16th edition of "Festiclip"
Lyon, France - June 2022 - The 16th edition of "Festiclip," a Salesian festival of short films by and for young people between the ages of 15 and 20, was held at the "Institution Notre-Dame des Minimes," on 11 June. Over 100 participants filled the "Le Valdocco" amphitheater to watch the festival, which was also broadcast live on the "Don Bosco" YouTube channel, with the possibility for the public to vote. Eight short films competed in this edition. The issue of integration from different perspectives was addressed by five shorts, while three others dealt with sexual orientation, the effects of Covid-19, and ecology. Charles-Antoine Lefebvre, President of the Jury, pointed out, "This meeting allows us to discuss with the participants the shorts made, to appreciate some of their details, to understand the involvement of young people, the way they are organized, to value the work done, and to highlight imperfections that can be taken into account for a future project." Four prizes were awarded: the jury prize to "Résilience" from the "ESTIC" institute in Saint-Dizier; the audience prize to "No room for happiness" by young people from the "Sévigné" high school in Marseille; the screenplay prize to "L'une ou l'autre" from the "Costa de Beauregard" institute in Chambéry; and the soundtrack prize to students from "Notre Dame des Minimes" in Lyon, for the short film "Les voix de la conscience."
