Porto Alegre, Brazil - May 2022 - The Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of Porto Alegre (BPA) was held on May 26 and 27. The chapter members, motivated by the motto "Da Mihi Animas Coetera Tolle," evaluated, discussed and defined the mission orientation of the "St. Pius X" Province. The debates focused on the areas of action of Social Works, Social Communication, Salesian Youth Ministry, Parishes, Formation and the Economer's Office. The proposed Protocol for the Protection of Children, Adolescents and Vulnerable Persons was also examined. Fr Gilson Marcos da Silva, BPA Provincial, urged those present to think about the future of the province and roll up their sleeves for the years to come. The Chapter also gave thanks to the Salesians who celebrated their significant anniversaries of religious life and priestly ordination: Assis Moser, Luiz Bazzanella, Heitor Girardi, Vitório Bona, and Aroldo Martins Filho.
