The Symposium stands as an opportunity for research and dialogue to promote cooperative activities to live in harmony and protect the "common home": global environmental deterioration, in fact, calls everyone to review their policies, to rethink economy and social development in terms of sustainability.
With such serious and urgent challenges ahead, many like-minded individuals and organizations around the world are engaged in seeking concrete solutions to the global environmental crisis.
Hoping also that women will be increasingly involved and participatory in human society, and that, with their specific skills, they can make a difference and help heal the world, the speakers will all be women of high profile, experience, and professionalism.
Speakers will include:
- Prof. Sr. Alessandra Smerilli, FMA, Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development;
- Dr. Dalit Wolf Golan, Israeli Deputy Director and Regional Development Director of the “EcoPeace Middle East” Association, leads resource development and strategic planning for EcoPeace;
- Dr. Fausta Speranza, journalist and writer, the first woman to cover international politics in the Holy See's daily newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano;
- Prof. Sister Linda Pocher, FMA, Professor of Fundamental Theology, Mariology, and Christology at the Auxilium Faculty.
The symposium will be moderated by Dr. Nina Fabrizio, journalist and writer.
