Forty-five priests, mostly Salesians, concelebrated. Many members of the Salesian Family and members of the families of the ten newly professed were present. Total attendance was about 250.

Among these numbers, two confreres are missionaries from Vietnam who are members of the Thai Province since they were pre-novices. They are Cl. Peter Nguyen Van Tao and Bro. Andrew Dung Lac Nguyen Anh Tuan.
“We continue to pray for the 10 brothers, that they may continue to live their Religious Profession and grow in the Salesian Vocation to be signs and bearers of God’s Love to the young, day by day,” was the wish resonated at the end of the celebration.
The celebration of the First Professions was the most significant appointment of the Rector Major in this, his first day of Animation Visit to the THA Province at the end of the Spiritual Exercises with the Councils of the Provinces, Vice-Provinces, and Provincial Delegations of the East Asia-Oceania Region.
Later in the day, Fr Á.F. Artime is engaged in a meeting with the Salesians at the "Savio House" in Sampran, while visits to the Saengtham Institute, the Shrine of Blessed Nicholas Bunkerd Kitbamrung, and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians' house at Baan Than Praphorn are scheduled in the afternoon.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 14, the Rector Major will visit St. Dominic School and the "Don Bosco" Institute of Technology. In the afternoon, he will gather with the large local Salesian Family for a fraternal gathering. The latter circumstance will also provide an opportunity to remember and pay homage to the Servant of God Msgr. Carlo Della Torre, SDB, Founder of the Institute of the Daughters of the Queenship of Mary and the Sisters of the Queenship of Mary Immaculate, and to visit the Museum dedicated to him.
On Sunday, May 15, the 10th Successor of Don Bosco will first meet with members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians, and then visit the Salesian community in Sarasit, where he will meet with Salesians from all presences in the area.
On Monday, 16, the Rector Major shall be engaged in a long journey to the south to visit the memorial in memory of the victims of the 2004 tsunami at Ban Nam Khem; next, he will visit the Salesian house in Bangsak.
The following day, still traveling, Fr Á.F. Artime will meet with his confreres active in the Surat Thani diocese, and then visit other Salesian educational institutions in Thida Mae Phra and Hat-Yai.
On Thursday, the 18th, the last day of his visit before departing for Italy, scheduled for the following day, he will spend it meeting with the Past Pupils of Don Bosco, visiting the Salesian school in Thidanukhro, and finally going to Pattani, in the southernmost area of the country, for a meeting with the Sons of Don Bosco active in that region.
