Dominican Republic - Interamerica Salesian Cooperators: Identification, formulation, execution, financing pastoral projects
Dominican Republic - March 2022 – On March 20 the Salesian Cooperators (SSCCs) of the Interamerica region conducted a formation meeting on the theme "Identification, Formulation, Execution and Financing of Pastoral Projects". In digital mode, the event, attended by nearly 200 SSCCs from the 13 countries that make up the region and other nations, was led by the SSCCs of the Antilles Province and the region's Communications team, coordinated by Martín Calderón, Regional Formation Officer. The meeting was opened by Franklin Ortega, Provincial Coordinator of the Antilles, and Francisco Burciaga, World Councilor of the Inter-American Region SSCC. The theme was developed through the intervention of Marlon Valentín Herrera, SSCC and Executive Director of the "Network of Don Bosco Boys and Girls" in the Dominican Republic, who presented the project’s entire process. Information was shared, including contact information for organizations funding projects. The various SSCC provinces were invited to carry out projects in favor of children and youth using the resources presented in the talk, recalling the Association's dream for this 6-year term: "To be a credible and joyful witness to our vocation, carrying out projects of hope, faith, and life with and for young people."
