Da Lat City, Vietnam - February 2022 - On the occasion of the canonical visit to the post-novitiate community of Da Lat, Fr Barnabas Le An Phong, Salesian Provincial of Vietnam (VIE), had a meeting with the Salesian Cooperators of the “Mary Help of Christians Center” of the same city. On 15 February the Provincial presided over the Eucharist in the "Savio" chapel, concelebrated by Fr Thomas Vu Kim Long, Rector of the post-novitiate community and Delegate of the center’s Salesian Cooperators. After Mass, there was a listening and sharing meeting during which Peter Le Thanh Bao, Coordinator of the center, presented the staff and the work they carry out. On the occasion, Fr Barnabas Le An Phong stressed that the Salesian Cooperator must begin his apostolate at home, in the family, and that the initiatives carried out must help young people to come out of poverty, not just material. Finally, the Provincial reminded the Salesian Cooperators to pay attention to four points: always maintain the Salesian identity, live a spirituality of love and service to the young; be well trained; respect differences to work together; network with other groups.
