Brazil - February 2022 - On 17 February the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, met the members of the Salesian Radio network in Brazil online. Fr João Carlos Ribeiro, Vicar of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), moderated the meeting during which the 10th Successor of Don Bosco answered the radio representatives’ questions; during his speech he underlined the importance of welcoming young people. Present at the event and representing the team of FM Radio Father Cicero, from Juazeiro del Nord, was the administrative director of the radio, Francisco Freitas, who asked Fr Ángel Fernández Artime what his expectations were for Salesian Radio broadcasters. "Fidelity to our precious charism, to Don Bosco and priority to young people above all, the poorest and those who have fewer opportunities," declared the Rector Major, who also affirmed that the Salesians must be present among the young, believing in the value of communication to continue this work.
