Sydney, Australia - January 2022 - The Salesian community of “St. Marys ”, in Sydney, celebrated the feast day of Don Bosco on January 30 with a parish Mass and a day of community fun. The Mass was celebrated in the parish of “Our Lady of the Rosary” and presided over by the Rector Fr Jan Walenciej, SDB, assisted by two new Salesian deacons. After the Eucharist, about 150 people including parishioners and local young people went to the "Don Bosco Youth Center" for a day of fun and celebration with various moments of play, sport, and the sharing of the lunch provided by the parishioners and the barbecue prepared by some Salesian Past Pupils. The event was particularly successful thanks to the efforts of the SDB and FMA communities of "St. Mary’s", the group of volunteers from the youth centers, and the presence of three young Salesians who joined the community for their summer apostolate.
