The awards ceremony - part of the Aragonese Excellence Plan, which reached its 25th anniversary this year - was held at the Congress Hall in Zaragoza last November 16.
This year, as a result of their continuous improvement, and the good work put in by the teaching staff, administration and services, and the accompaniment of the Aragonese Institute for Promotion, the Salesian Institute "Nuestra Señora del Pilar" in Zaragoza was awarded the "Golden Seal of the Aragonese Company" as a non-profit organization. The award was received by Fr Juan Bosco Sancho, Rector of the Salesian house.
"The Salesian Institute of Zaragoza was the only Aragonese organization to have obtained the Golden Seal this year, having exceeded 500 points in the external evaluation of the EFQM model of excellence, a fact that highlights the excellent work that is being done in the center for over 75 years and which imposes on us the responsibility to continue on the path of excellence with the sole objective of improving the training and education that the school wants to offer its students every day," said the managers of the Salesian center.
At the same time, the "Laviaga Castillo" Salesian school in La Almunia was declared the winner of the "Aragon Business Excellence Award" in the category of non-profit organizations. "We will continue to work for the excellence of our young people and their families, the future of our society, so that they are capable of building a better world," they said from the Salesian school, which won the prize in the finale against the Huesca Hotel School and the “Pirámide” Vocational School, also from Huesca.
"And we also congratulate our colleagues from the Salesian Institute in Zaragoza, who received the Gold Seal," they added.
The "Aragonese Business Excellence Award" was created in 1996 to publicize the level of excellence of Aragon organizations, to be a tool for disseminating best business practices, and to support companies in improving their management through knowledge and the implementation of the EFQM Business Excellence model, which helps organizations establish a management system, by measuring where they are already on the road to excellence, and analyzing opportunities for improvement that will help them achieve it.
