Mumbai, India - June 2016 - The Vice-Chancellor of Assam Don Bosco University of Guwahati, Fr Stephen Mavely, SDB, has won an award for being among the 100 most influential Vice-Chancellors of the Asia-Pacific region. The prize was awarded on June 23 by the World Congress on Education at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It was established for the countries of Asia-Pacific and Africa. It is based on criteria such as the importance given to strategic planning in the university, the quality of infrastructure, future directions, the body of researchers, the focus on sustainability, excellent results, integrity and personal ethics.
