Papua New Guinea – Waste recovery and separate collection as therapeutic and supportive activities
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea - August 2020 - Following a rise in the number of infections, since the end of July the Papua New Guinea authorities have imposed a second period of confinement in the capital, Port Moresby, and again closed the schools for two weeks. Thus, some students of the Don Bosco Technological Institute of Boroko, in Port Moresby, decided to counteract the inactivity and frustration already experienced in the first period of lockdown by dedicating themselves to the care of Creation: they clean the degraded areas accessible to them, separate the waste by categories and try to creatively reuse what is still recoverable.
