India – Shillong Province inaugurates new building for Planning and Development Office
Shillong, India - 12 August 2020 - The new building housing the headquarters of the "Bosco Integrated Development Society" (BIDS), the Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of India-Shillong (INS), was officially inaugurated last Wednesday, 12 August. The ceremony was chaired by Hon. Charles Pyngrope, MP from the State of Meghalaya, while Fr Paul Olphindro Lyngkot, INS Provincial, blessed the premises. In the speech delivered for the occasion, Fr Olphindro said that "the new building is a dream come true", and will serve to continue Don Bosco's dream for the good of poor young people. For his part, the Hon. Pyngrope praised the Salesian commitment to children in need and promised to support it.
