Valparaíso, Chile - November 2024 - Those in charge of Salesian works in the country met on 14 and 15 November in Valparaíso to take part in an animation and formation meeting and the celebration of 130 years of the Salesian school. The meeting was an opportunity for personal and spiritual formation, where reflection and common work made it possible to face the challenges of Salesian education in the present context with a shared vision. The opening day began with the Eucharist presided over by the Rector of the Salesian School in Valparaíso, Fr Juan Pablo Moreno Rojas. Then there were group dynamics centred on the personal and spiritual formation of the participants, in which each Rector shared his  experiences and aspirations from a Salesian perspective. These moments of encounter deepen bonds and allow a renewal of the pastoral mission, encouraging the Rectors to nourish themselves with Salesian spirituality and to work as a team. The Probvincial of the Salesians in Chile, Fr Nelson Moreno, highlighted the value of the meeting as an essential space for strengthening the Salesian community. The event also included a reflection on the results of the youth survey carried out this year and on the importance of adapting the educational proposal of youth ministry to the current needs of young people and their families.
