(ANS - Lyon) - "The Muslim presence in our Catholic Schools" was the theme of the study day organized by the Department for Formation of "Maisons Don Bosco". About fifty people heard the reflection by Professor Sayadi, Professor of Comparative Studies of Religions and Civilizations at the University of La Manouba in Tunis and member of the Muslim-Christian Research Group.
(ANS - Montevideo) - "Friend of sinners (Luke 7:34), intended as an insult to Jesus, becomes an expression of Mercy". This is the title of the Inaugural Lecture that Fr Francisco Lezama, SDB, gave on Tuesday 5 April at the Archbishop Mariano Soler Faculty of Theology in Uruguay. The faculty takes its name from the first archbishop of Montevideo.
Fusagasugá, Colombia - April 2016 - The Chapter of the Salesian Province of Saint Peter Claver in Bogotá took place from 29 March to 2 April with 33 chapter members and 5 guests.
San Pedro Carchá, Guatemala - March 2016 – Four Salesians, Juan Echeverria, Sergio Paredes, Marcelo Navarrete and Efrén Artiga, gave a mission during Holy Week at the Motherhouse of the "Hermanas de la Resurrección". On Palm Sunday more than 80 people including sisters, novices, aspirants and leaaders took part in a training session focused on the 2016 Strenna of the Rector Major. Another group of 32 people took part in a workshop on Salesian pedagogy. During the week three more meetings were held with the participation of hundreds of young people who studied the meaning of the paschal mystery.
