(ANS – Brazil) – The 22nd National Meeting of Schools of the Salesian Network Brazil (ENARSE) and the 15th National Meeting of Local Economers (ENEL) took place online on 28 and 29 August. The event brought together the leaders of the schools and Provinces of the Salesian Network Brazil (RSB), with the aim of promoting ongoing formation in the managerial, pedagogical, pastoral, communicative and administrative-financial dimensions to strengthen the Salesian Educational Mission in the Network.

With the theme "Together, for the present and the future of Salesian education", the specific objectives of the meetings were to make ESA V known, to highlight the relationship between the 5th Continental Meeting of the Salesian School of America (ESA) and the reality and the curriculum of Salesian schools in Brazil, as well as to strengthen the sense of belonging as RSB and ESA, and to allow reflection, debate and greater appreciation of the dimensions of the RSB curriculum as a point of reference for Salesian significance in schools.

The first day of the event involved the Schools Representatives of the Salesian Network Brazil, Sister Alaíde Deretti and Fr Alexandre Luis De Oliveira, Provincial of San Paolo Brazil (BSP). Also presented were contributions from the National Coordinator of Salesian Schools and member of the ESA Central Commission, Sister Lucia Jacinta Finassi, who gave a report entitled: "ESA and RSB: historical overview". The Coordinator for Schools in the Mary Help of Christians Province, Valéria Rodrigues, and the Pedagogical Manager of the Salesian St Pius X Province of Porto Alegre Brazil, Ana Cristina Sofiati, were also in attendance, with a prayer of thanks for the thirty-year journey of the Salesian School in America (ESA), as well as the Coordinator for Schools in the St Pius X Province, Fr Leandro Brum, who spoke on the "System of guarantee of Salesian significance in the school and in the RSB curriculum: institutional parameters for the educational mission".

The second day involved the participation of the Executive Directors of the Salesian Network Brazil, Sister Silvia Aparecida da Silva and Fr Sérgio Augusto Baldin Júnior, who welcomed them. The first part of the day was conducted by the Coordinator of the schools of the Province of Our Lady Help of Christians, Évila Borges, on "Relational trust in schools". The address was moderated by Sandra Elaine Siqueira Correa, Coordinator of the schools in the St Dominc Savio Province of Manaus, Brazil.

In the second part of the day, the Pastoral Coordinator of the Father Jacó House - Itajaí (SC), Sister Márcia Koffermann, contributed with "Media literacy in a liquid society in the face of the new evangelization". Her talk was moderated by the Coordinator of the schools of the Saint John Bosco Province of Belo Horizonte, Paulo Rogedo.

The meetings took place entirely online in the presence of the National Coordinator of Salesian Schools, Sister Lucia Jacinta Finassi; the executive directors of the Salesian Network Brazil, the Executive Coordinator of the RSB, Maria Dantas, and the Provincial Committee of Salesian Schools, made up of representatives of the 10 Provinces. The entire event was also supported by the Head of the RSB Formation Project, Ana Paula Costa e Silva, by the teams from the RSB national headquarters, located in Brasilia, and by the Salesian Formation Centre (CSF).
