About 97 Salesians will participate: representatives of the 13 countries that make up the region plus the General Council members.
At the Jorge Wilsterman airport in Cochabamba, Fr A.F. Artime was welcomed by Fr Timothy Ploch, Councillor for the Inter-America Region, Fr Javier Ortiz, Provincial of Bolivia, Archbishop Tito Solari, SDB, Archbishop Emeritus of Cochabamba, some Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and a large delegation from the Salesian oratory of Santo Domingo Savio. Archbishop Solari commented on the occasion: "When I see him, I feel that Don Bosco is coming. His visit arouses in me feelings of respect, devotion and deep affection. It is like when a father comes to visit. I feel privileged because this is the second time recently that he has come to Cochabamba. I hope his stay and the work that will be done will be really fruitful and will show us the future path of our Congregation in this part of the Latin American continent. "
As is typical for him, Fr A.F. Artime made himself available for greetings or requests for photos and selfies with the young people. He addressed some words of thanks to all present for the welcome and said he was happy to be in Bolivian territory for a second visit in a short space of time.
After the exchange of greetings, the Rector Major reached the Provincial House of Our Lady of Copacabana.
"Dear Fr Ángel, may the affection of all your brothers and sisters and the young people support and encourage you to continue," said Archbishop Solari.
