The primary objective of this initiative is to give young people tools and opportunities, facilitating their access to job opportunities and providing partner companies with an efficient way to find highly qualified candidates.
"Together with the strategic leadership of FUSALMO, we seek to promote the development of young Salvadorans so that they can overcome obstacles in the labour market. We strengthen vocational qualification programmes and work with private companies to create opportunities. By involving families, we create positive change and build a better future together,' said John Briggs, CRS Director in El Salvador.
In addition to the two important service lines, the job placement module will offer psychological tests and customized training to meet the needs of companies. In addition, it will provide guidance on the requirements and negotiations of each partner institution.
"FUSALMO and CRS have more than five years of experience in the implementation of various inter-institutional initiatives and innovative capacity-building projects through the empowerment of children, adolescents and young people in socially vulnerable conditions. With this initiative, FUSALMO, thanks to the support of CRS, seeks to become a leader in promoting the integral development of children and youth," said Nelson Cruz, Executive Director of FUSALMO.
The launch event, held on 19 October, was attended by leading representatives of the CRS and FUSALMO, as well as private companies and international cooperation agencies.
