Within the program, the event addresses the current reality of young people, trends and opportunities to work with young people based on the study of the Salesian Youth Ministry Frame of Reference and the Brazilian Church's Youth Ministry Plan. There will also be thematic workshops, including: living in social networks, social and political participation and caring for our common home.
Among the names confirmed to mediate the reflections are: the General Councillor for Youth Ministry of the Salesian Congregation, Miguel Ángel García, the member of the international team for Youth Ministry of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sister Ivone Goulart Lopes, and the former president of the Episcopal Commission for Youth Ministry of the National Episcopal Conference of Brazil (CNBB), Fr Nelson Francelino Ferreira.
More than an opportunity for celebration, the event aims to provoke a resonance. Hence, as a concrete gesture there will be the development of proposals at local and national level and the publication of a Manifesto to Young People, to inspire the continuity of reflections and the commitment to respond to the wishes of young people.
