The Social Impact Report cites the 630,000 meals offered during the year, including lunches, breakfasts, and snacks. In addition to meals, 58 tons of food, three thousand baskets of basic necessities, and 29 thousand warm clothes and garments were distributed. In economic terms, the province invested nearly 7 million reais (equivalent to 1.28 million euros) from its social fund in 2022 to initiate concrete actions to benefit those who needed it most.
The Social Action Network of the BPA Province is present in five cities, in the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. In Curitiba, at the Salesian Institute of Social Assistance (ISAS); in Guarapuava, with the Dom Bosco Assistance Institute (IADB); in Joinville, through the "Dom Bosco Educational Center" (CEDB); in Itajaí, thanks to the "Parque Dom Bosco"; and in Viamão, in the "Novo Lar."
The Works and Social Services of the "St. Pius X" Province reflect the charism of the Salesian Congregation and its founder, Don Bosco, aimed at the education and holistic development of children and young people. "It is enough that you are young for me to love you very much"; or "Only one is my desire, that of seeing you happy in time and in eternity" are not only famous sayings of the Saint of Youth, but the stimulus that still moves the 122 educators and operators through whom the Province works to still be a sign and bearer of God's love to young people, especially the poorest.
