Monitoring and evaluating a project is an important part of project management. The evaluation was conducted to determine if the project design addresses the indicated needs and to assess how well the project is being implemented to meet these needs. A five-day mid-term evaluation workshop is being held in Nairobi, Kenya as a result, by Don Bosco Tech Africa.

The results of the midterm evaluation will serve as a guide for creating more efficient methods for carrying out the remaining portions of the program. The participants will spend the remaining days primarily in groups discussing the evaluation's findings, identifying TVET needs and obstacles in the provinces, and eventually starting the GP phase 2 development process.

In his keynote address Fr. George TJ, extorted all to work together to ensure that the remainder of the project life is successful and the desired impact is accomplished. “It is a call for all to take our work seriously and implement all that was planned effectively,” he emphasised. He invited everyone to view this conference as an opportunity to improve young people's lives in their own small way.

The mid-term evaluation report presented by the lead consultant Mr Rene Lenssen used five criteria to arrive at the results; relevance, effectiveness, coherence, efficiency, impact and sustainability. In his presentation, he elaborated on the findings and recommendations under each criterion.

The meeting is attended by the Province Youth Ministry Delegates (PYD), Province Technical and Vocational Education and Training Coordinators (PTVET), the Job Service Officers (JSOs), Planning and Development Office (PDO) personnel, TVET centre directors, Green Specialists and a representative from Don Bosco Mondo.
