India - "Don Bosco College of Engineering" for Innovation and Development
Goa, India - February 2020 - The Department of Engineering Mechanics of the "Don Bosco College of Engineering", based in Fatorda, organized a meeting on February 20, in collaboration with the "Council for Innovation of the Institution", a meeting on Product Innovation and Development. The main speaker was the Director of Human Resources of "ULAVAN Agri Tech Services Pvt. Ltd", dr. Tarun Krishankumar, who spoke to participants about the skills gap that currently exists between graduates and the right mindset for problem-solving. He stressed the need for students to adapt to new technologies and the importance of knowing how to equip themselves with their own tools to solve problems. He also passed on his work philosophy to the students and illustrated the potential of drones in his work. The event, coordinated by profs. Ajit Salunke, Suraj Marathe and Swapnil Ramani, ended with a question and answer session.
