Rwanda – First foundation stone of new building for students of culinary arts and hairdressing
Rango, Rwanda - February 2020 - On February 25, Fr Raymond Bavumiragiye, Vicar of the Salesian Africa Great Lakes Vice Province (AGL), laid and blessed the foundation stone of a new building for students of culinary arts and hairdressers that will be built at the Vocational Training Center "Don Bosco" of Rango. The construction of the building is supported by the German Federal Ministry through the German Salesian NGO "Don Bosco Mondo" and financed in collaboration with the "Don Bosco Tech Africa", which through its "Global Program" aims to enhance the offer of Technical and Vocational Training in the Africa-Madagascar Region. The "Don Bosco Tech Africa" will also take care of coordinating the subsequent stages of the work and the start of the courses, together with the Salesian Provinces and Vice Provinces of the Africa-Madagascar Region. The modernization of the centers will see investments in equipment, infrastructure and teacher training.
