Spain - Annual meeting of Salesian formators in initial formation
Madrid, Spain - January 2020 - The meeting of Salesian formators of Salesians in initial formation (pre-novitiate, post-novitiate, traineeship) from all over Spain took place on 4 and 5 January. The event was led by Fr Samuel Segura, Vicar of the Salesian Province of "St James Major" and responsible for Formation. The central theme of the annual meeting was "Formators for the affective-sexual education of the students". On 4 January it was animated by the Jesuit José María Fernández Martos, an expert on the subject and in the accompaniment of men and women religious; on January 5, Fr Cándido Orduna, National Delegate for Formation, presented the document of the Salesian Congregation on the Salesian Spiritual Accompaniment, soon to be published, and invited the participants to share their experience.
