South Africa - Southern Africa Vice Province Day
Johannesburg, South Africa - October 2019 - From 29 to 31 October, the Salesians of the Vice Province of Southern Africa (AFM) gathered at the "Bosco Youth Center" to celebrate their patron, Blessed Michael Rua. They reflected on the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation Christus Vivit of Pope Francis, led by Fr Lingoane Tlaile; they also discussed the issue of safeguarding minors, presented by Fr Peter Cassidy, a member of the Missionaries of Africa; and another session was led by Fr Martin McCormack. The day was a time of fraternity and community building in a Vice Province formed by Salesians from different countries and cultures, coming from North and South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
