Pakistan - Memory and gratitude of young Pakistanis for Fr Pietro Zago
Quetta, Pakistan - October 2019 - On 19 October, with an emotional celebration, the late Fr Pietro Zago, SDB, who died on December 28, 2017, and is the face of Don Bosco for many young Pakistanis, was honored. The Don Bosco Learning Center of Quetta hosted the students of the “Don Bosco” middle school of Kan Ziarat, located at over 2,400 meters above sea level, which was founded by Fr Zago and was in 2009 seriously affected by an earthquake. For this reason, in addition to Fr Zago, the victims were also remembered. During the day, organized by the teachers of the "Don Bosco Learning Center", the students proposed presentations on their life experiences and shared the lessons learned from Laudato Sì. At the end of the day, all participants were presented with prizes and a portrait of Fr Pietro Zago.
