Democratic Republic of Congo - Missionary camp for children
Mufunga-Sampwe, D.R. Congo - August 2019 - The Missionary Animation Team of the Salesian Province of Central Africa (AFC) organized a missionary camp for young people on the theme: "Unknowingly, they hosted angels" (Heb 13.2). The missionary camp, which was attended by more than 70 young people, took place during the month of August and offered an opportunity to learn and adapt to the culture of the place. The young participants expressed their solidarity through simple but concrete daily actions, such as cleaning parishes and schools. Fr Albert Kabuge, AFC Provincial, presided over the camp's opening Mass, reflecting with the youths on the meaning of missionary sending off ceremony.
