Italy - The Venerable Convertini presented to the priests of his land
Conversano, Italy - June 2017 - On June 16, at the spirituality center of the convent of Santa Maria dell'Isola, Fr. Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, presented the figure of the venerable missionary Francesco Convertini, Salesian missionary in Bengala (India), as a pastor according to the heart of Christ, to the approximately 100 priests of the diocese of Conversano - Monopoli, led by bishop Diocesan Archbishop Giuseppe Favale. It was a special occasion to highlight saints as patrimony of the whole Church, and how they have a particular connection to their land of origin. Monsignor Favale expressed his amazement and gratitude for the clear and touching testimony of Fr Convertini, and encouraged his priests to learn more about him, to imitate his pastoral zeal and to invoke and trust him in intercession.
