Funchal, Portugal - June 2023 - For several years, the Municipal Chamber at Funchal has been rewarding good environmental practices of companies and institutions in the municipality. Separation of recyclable waste is rewarded with a reduction of the solid waste management fee, including the water bill. This year's award-winning institutions include the Salesians at Funchal, who received the award at a ceremony held on 23 June in the municipal premises in Funchal. The award ceremony was led by the Mayor, Pedro Calado, who announced that the scope of the award would soon be extended to include as many institutions as possible.
