Ukraine – 1 June 2023 – Children from orphanages in the cities of Ryasne, Guryevo, Morozova Dolyna, Lemishcheno (Kharkiv region), Luhansk and Donetsk regions, Lysychansk, as well as children of needy families and those living in containers in Lviv, received school supplies on the occasion of International Children's Day. The items were purchased and shipped to Ukraine through the Warsaw-based Aid Coordination Team for Ukraine, and then distributed to children by the Salesians in Ukraine. This assistance is important for children because it directly affects their development. Thanks to it they can study like other young people, spend more time with each other and somehow distract themselves from the terrible events that are happening in their country. All actors in this initiative and the beneficiaries are very grateful to the benefactors for their help, because together many lives can be improved.
