Tanzania - "Don Bosco Osterbay" becomes a Center of Excellence for air conditioning installations
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - May 2023 - The collaboration between Don Bosco Tech Africa and the Daikin company continues to develop and expand. In fact, on May 11, the company officially launched the Air Conditioning Center of Excellence at the "Don Bosco Osterbay" Vocational Training Center in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The center is equipped with modern machines that will be used to train students in the latest air conditioning technology. This initiative is intended to initially benefit 150 students. Rising temperatures due to climate change have led many people around the world to install air conditioning systems in their homes and offices. There is an ever-greater need for highly qualified skilled technicians; consequently, Daikin aims to pass on these advanced technologies to the students of "Don Bosco Oysterbay". Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Sinha, Daikin manager for East Africa, underscored that the project also aims to promote the dissemination of environmentally friendly solutions. Fr. Waldemar Jonatowski, principal of "Don Bosco Oysterbay," expressed his gratitude to Daikin, adding that the program they support will transform the lives of the beneficiaries by equipping them with new advanced skills in a rapidly growing sector. In November 2022, Daikin launched a similar center of excellence at the "Don Bosco Boys' Town Technical Institute," in Karen-Nairobi, Kenya.
