Ecuador – 36th Assembly of National Council for Salesian Education
Quito, Ecuador - February 2023 - From February 8 to 10, the 36th Assembly of the National Council for Salesian Education (CONESA in Spanish) was held, with the participation of SDBs, lay people, and young people involved in Salesian education. The day was animated by Fr. Wladimir Acosta, CONESA President, and the technical team, with the accompaniment of Fr. Marcelo Farfán, Superior of the Salesian Province of Ecuador (ECU). Various themes were developed during the days. On the opening day, Fr. Acosta developed the formative theme "Salesian Identity in Salesian Educational Centers," and Fr. Farfán spoke on the current challenges of Salesian education. Also, work was done on the mid-term evaluation of the Salesian School Pastoral Education Plan, following the agreements of the Executive and the Assembly. The National Youth Executive presented the Citizenship Formation and Socio-Political Commitment Project for Salesian Youth.
