India - Prime Minister of West Bengal inaugurates Christmas exhibition organized by Salesian alumni at Calcutta Cathedral
Kolkata, India - December 2022 - The Prime Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, and Member of Parliament Abhisek Banerjee attended the traditional Christmas Eve Midnight Mass celebrated at Kolkata Cathedral by the Archbishop of Kolkata, Msgr. Thomas D'Souza. After the celebration, which was attended by various civil and ecclesiastical dignitaries, the Prime Minister inaugurated the nativity scene and the special exhibition on the life of Jesus curated by the alumni of the "Don Bosco" school in Liluah and Subrata Ganguly, Director of "Church Art Kolkata," an Indian organization engaged in promoting Indian education, art, and culture.
