Democratic Republic of Congo – Priestly ordination of Justin Kakule Matabishi, SDB
Goma, DR Congo - August 2022 - On Sunday, August 7, the Salesian Family of Goma joyfully participated in the Eucharistic celebration during which Fr. Justin Kakule Matabishi, a Salesian from the Province of Central Africa (AFC), was ordained a priest. Along with him, three other deacons - two Pallottines and one diocesan - received the priesthood, while 10 other young men from various dioceses in the country received diaconal ordination. Imparting the sacraments was the bishop of Goma, Msgr. Willy Ngumbi Ngengele, who in his homily invited everyone to a life of prayer in support of their mission in the Church. The celebration, held at the parish dedicated to Blessed Mary Clementine Anuarite Nengapeta near Goma, was also attended by many concelebrants, including 12 Salesians, led by the AFC Province Vicar, Fr. Tryphon Kalimira.
