Madagascar - In Provincial Chapter, Salesian Vice-Province of Madagascar asks itself "Which Salesians for today’s youth?"
Ivato, Madagascar - April 2022 - From April 22-24, the Salesian Vice-Province of Madagascar celebrated its tenth Provincial Chapter on the theme "Which Salesians for today’s youth?" The Chapter was attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Madagascar, Msgr. Paolo Rocco Gualtieri, and Salesian Bishop Msgr. Rosario Vella, Bishop of Moramanga. The Nuncio, after having presided over the Eucharistic celebration for the opening of the Chapter, held a conference to reflect together with the capitulars. On this occasion he outlined the characteristics of today's world and of young people, emphasizing what the traits of the Salesian who approaches them should be. Fr Innocent Bizimana, MDG Superior, then invited the capitulars to make their own the appeal of the Rector Major to "reflect on our identity as Salesians for the youth of today".
