Shillong, India - April 2022 - On Sunday, April 17, Easter Sunday, the Salesian parish of Laitkor in Shillong installed a bust in memory of the late Salesian Archbishop Msgr. Dominic Jala. The blessing of the bust was performed by Fr. Paul O. Lyngkot, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Shillong (INS), in the presence of Msgr. Jala's family members, priests, religious, faithful, and Mr. Amit Mawrie, who sponsored the bust. The socio-cultural organization of the parish has provided for the embellishment of the site where the work stands, which also houses another bust, inaugurated last year, in honor of the Salesian Fr. Sylvanus Sngi Lyngdoh. In the afternoon of the same day, a great Easter celebration was held with the participation of numerous faithful and the presence of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Shillong, Monsignor Victor Lyngdoh, and various authorities.
