New Delhi, India - February 2022 - The 9th Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of New Delhi (INN) began on February 14, presided over by Fr Davis John Maniparamben, INN Provincial, and moderated by Fr Sajan M. George. Present at the Provincial assembly, in addition to the 52 Chapter members, were Monsignor Anil J.T. Couto, Archbishop of New Delhi, and representatives of the Salesian Family. After the inaugural ceremony and the welcome speech by the Provincial, Fr Sajan presented the theme of the Provincial Chapter, "Which Salesians for today’s youth?", and explained the tasks of the Chapter. Then the messages of Fr Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, and Fr Biju Michael, Councilor for the South Asia Region, were read. On the occasion, Msgr. Couto inaugurated the official YouTube channel of the INN Province; in his speech, he expressed his appreciation of the Salesians for their contribution to the Church in fidelity to Don Bosco and remarked on the services rendered to the Church through the various Salesian institutions. An important moment of the day was the presentation of the current state of the Province by Fr Maniparamben, assisted by Fr Biju Abraham, INN Economer, with subsequent reflections and discussions.
