Portugal - Diaconal ordinations of two Salesians
Évora, Portugal - December 2021 - On 8 December, two Salesians from East Timor, Rafael Bonaparte and Gregório Haendel, were ordained deacons in the church of Mary Help of Christians in Évora. Msgr. José Sanches Alves, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Évora, presided over the ordination, in the presence of Fr José Aníbal Mendonça, Provincial of the Portuguese Province (POR), and various priests of the Salesian communities in Portugal, who concelebrated the Eucharist.
