Philippines - Feast Day of the Salesian Province of Northern Philippines
Manila, Philippines - November 2021 - On November 30, the Salesians of the Northern Philippine Province (FIN) celebrated the Province Feast Day on the theme "Moved by Hope", taken from the 2021 Strenna of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime. The event was held on Zoom platform, to comply with the restrictions to contain the pandemic. The event was attended by all Salesian communities. The program included a series of question answer session with Fr. Gerry Martin, FIN Provincial, followed by the celebration of the anniversaries of first profession and priestly ordinations. There were also moments of online gaming. The event concluded with a conclusion by Fr Gerry Martin, who shared his thoughts on the current pandemic situation, reminding Salesians that "the virtue of hope matures through suffering."
