Nicaragua - 95 Years of Salesian presence in Masaya
Masaya, Nicaragua - October 2021 - The Salesian house of Masaya celebrated its 95 years of presence. To commemorate the event, it organized concerts, celebrations, theatrical re-enactments, songs and dances. It was 26 September 1926 when the Salesians Fr Giuseppe Dini, the cleric José Ángel Torres and the Salesian Coadjutor Antonio Portillo arrived in Masaya to start the work. Today, 95 years later, the work continues to share the Salesian charism through various activities and structures: the "Don Bosco" institute, the "San Juan Bosco" school, the "Don Bosco" nursery school, “San Sebastián” Shrine, the oratory and the Salesian Youth Movement.
