Philippines - Meeting to reflect on St Francis de Sales and Salesian style of education
Cebu, Philippines - April 2021 - The Salesian Family of the Province of the Southern Philippines (FIS) met – online - to delve into the life and teachings of St. Francis de Sales. It was also an opportunity to focus on the Salesian style of education. In this sense, Fr Rooney John Undar, principal of the "Don Bosco Technical Institute - Victorias", explained the principles of Salesian education, starting from the teachings left by St. Francis de Sales and St. John Bosco, which are still very relevant today. The meeting, which gathered mainly Salesian teachers and educators, took place in an atmosphere of familiarity and joy. During the Salesian "Good Night", Fr Godofredo Atienza, FIS Provincial, urged the Salesian Family to continue with this style of education, especially in these difficult times marked by the pandemic.
