United States - Green initiatives by Salesians of Richmond
Richmond, United States - March 2021 - The Salesian novitiate in Richmond, US West Province (SUO), planted two pear trees in response to the request of Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, during his Extraordinary Visitation in April 2019, that the Salesian community plant a tree as a sign of taking care of creation. Also, the Salesian College Preparatory in Richmond and the Salesian community are setting up a composting program for organic material and eliminating single-use plastics.
