Bogotá, Colombia - March 2021 - The first meeting of the Provincial Commission of Preferential Option was held on 26 March. Nominated by the Provincial and the Council of the Colombia-Bogotá Province (COB), the commission has the objective of animating the processes of the works and social services of the Province. It is made up of the Coordinator of the Preferential Option sector, the Delegate for Youth Ministry, the Delegate for Social Communication, the Delegate for Missions, the Coordinator of the Provincial Management and Development Office and a representative of Salesians in initial formation. During the meeting, Fr Rafael Bejarano, Coordinator for social works in the Youth Ministry in Rome, and Lina Varón, Operational Coordinator of the Salesian America Social Network (RASS), also illustrated the reality of RASS; and the Program Objectives of the 6-year term and the Annual Operational Programming of the Preferential Option sector were then shared. In order to give continuity to the processes envisaged for the sector, a new meeting has been set for April 26th.
