Peru - Salesians to the rescue of refugees
Lima, Peru - October 2020 - Two years ago the Salesians of Peru decided to establish a shelter for young Venezuelan refugees who barely managed to survive in the streets of Lima. For this reason, a day of thanksgiving to God was celebrated a few days ago for the first two years of activity. It should also be remembered that in the same spirit of attention to the most vulnerable, after the outbreak of the pandemic, the Provincial of the Peru Province, Fr Manuel Cayo, and his Council, decided to make the main courtyard of the provincial house available for welcoming the needy, until the emergency is over.
