Paraguay - 60,000 people fed daily thanks to District Emergency Committee of Minga Guazú
Minga Guazú, Paraguay - July 2020 - In the Paraguayan municipality of Minga Guazú, located in the central area of the Upper Paraná department, the Salesian community coordinates the logistical work of the District Emergency Committee. Created at the beginning of Covid-19 health crisis, it aims to alleviate, at least in part, the needs that were beginning to emerge in the city's most vulnerable families due to the lockdown. Thanks to the intervention of the District Emergency Committee, food kits were distributed to benefit 60,000 people.
