Spain - Chef José Andrés visits emergency kitchen of Huelva Salesians
Huelva, Spain - June 2020 - The famous chef José Andrés recently visited the emergency kitchen of the Salesians of Huelva. The chef, with his NGO "World Central Kitchen" (WCK), has distributed 17 million meals in 5 countries, and wanted to personally thank the Huelva volunteers. During the pandemic, with their work and coordinated by chef Xanty Elías, they managed to distribute hundreds of meals a day. With the #chefsforspain initiative, WCK has opened a total of 16 emergency kitchens in Spain and the "Salesian Christ Priest College" of Huelva was one of the chosen locations.
