India - Telangana Catholic Religious donate 20,000 masks to Minister of Health
Hyderabad, India - May 2020 - On 8 May, the Conference of Religious of India (CRI) of the Telangana region donated 20,000 protective masks to the region's Minister of Health, the Hon. Sri Etela Rajendra. The event took place in the presence of various government authorities, Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, SDB, President of the CRI, with members of the executive body. The protective masks were produced by many nuns in their convents and by young people from the formation centers. Up to that date, the CRI had distributed 57,080 masks, 23,080 disinfectants; it provided food for 115,674 people, rations and hygiene kits for 35,542 families. Also, Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Executive Director of the "Bosco Seva Kendra", presented the various aid and relief activities to the Minister, which reached over 30,000 people.
